Infographics

 Infographics

When it comes to any flyers, graphics, announcements that need to be made, I always turn to Canva. So I was somewhat hesitant to try different apps. But I told myself, this would be a good learning experience.

For the Infographic above, I used Infogram. Infogram was the easiest to use out off three apps that I tried. It reminded me of Canva and it was easy to use. With the variety of tools that were available to use, I was able to quickly develop this Infographic. Unfortuntely, I was not allowed to download the graphic, unless I upgraded from the free version. Instead, I was only allowed to share the link, so I had to take a snip it of my graphic.

The Infographic above was created using Piktochart. At first, this app also reminded me of Canva because of the large selection of graphics available. I found this app a
little difficult to use at first, I could not find the tools easily, after awhile, I was able to get the hang of it. Unfortunately, it only gave me 2 more downloads to use as per the free trial.

Finally, the Infographic above was created using Easel.ly. I was really disappointed with this app. There was not much of a selection with templates and charts. Many times, I found myself lost in the app and try to make sense of the functionality. Unfortunately, it was not friendly to use at all. Another downfall was, I could not download the graphic as a reading friendly image. To download a high quality image, was only available for the Pro version. So I had to download the low quality version of my infographic.

Overall, it was interesting to know what other digital graphic creator tools are available out there. Each one of them had their pros and cons  However, I plan to continue using Canva for my digital graphics creator tool. Canva is completely free to use with many tools available to use within its app, even the free version! Even more interesting was the fact how the Infographics can emphasis and really show the various data that was collected on the topics chosen. The graphics can demonstrate the data loud and clear.

  2. We had very similar experiences with these infographic platforms. I am a canva fan, even after exploring these options! It was disappointing how little the free versions offered. At the very least, I would expect to be able to download my creation, even if tools are limited. Thank you for your thoughtful effort!

  3. Thank you for sharing Barbara! You learned a lot through this trial and like me probably decided to stick with Canva moving forward. I liked your infographics as well. They were simple yet effective and easy to understand.

  4. I liked how your inforgraphic had questions and the answers. I felt that the infographic portion of the course was the most difficult, but I adjusted and was able to get it sorted out. I to like canva a lot better than some of the ones that were offered.

  5. I had frustration using these also. None of them compared to Canva!
